This is a really fun embellished print! Bright colors, abstract gradients and expressionist strokes give it a vibrant and cheerful feel. The original image has lots of loose brushwork. On top of that, I do a significant amount of hand-embellishing, using subtle gradients and fine precision. The final image is simultaneously loose, precise, abstract and luminous.

All my embellishing is done with colored pencil, which is delicate in texture, but bold in color. I use 45-50 colors on each print. Layers of added color create depth, intimacy and luminosity. Each print feels fresh and handmade, because it is!

My embellished prints are a great way to own something luxurious and handmade, for less than the cost of a painting.

Because each of these is unique and created to order, the embellishing colors are slightly customizable. The essence of the print will always be akin to the photos below, but I can, for example, embellish "more toward blue" or "more toward coral", etc. In fact, I enjoy the challenge of shifting and illuminating certain colors!
