Hand-embellished prints contain extensive added-by-hand color. All my embellishing is done with colored pencil, which is wonderfully delicate in texture, but bold in color. I use 45-50 colors on each print. Layers of added color create depth, intimacy and luminosity. Each print feels fresh and handmade, because it is.

These works occupy the space between print and original object.

The images shown may include different embellished iterations created over time. Because each of these is unique and created to order, the embellishing colors are customizable. The overall spirit of the print will remain close to the images below, but I can, for example, embellish "more toward blue" or "more toward coral", etc. In fact, I enjoy the challenge of shifting and illuminating certain colors. If you have a more specific color-palette vision, email me before purchasing to make sure we are on the same page.

Printed on Canson (Arches) Aquarelle 100% Cotton Rag (310gsm). This is an archival paper which is thick, sturdy and soft. The paper has delicate, softly textured surface, which holds the colored pencil beautifully.
